Cowes Radio programme schedule

7 am Nanny Cay Breakfast Show. Roger Price brings you a wake-up call spiced with detailed weather forecasts, tide times, classified race results, news summaries, a look forward at the day's events, the chance to win in our competitions plus interviews with the people who matter and the celebrities who are in town for the regatta.

10 am Cowes Commentary. Live and alive, the all-important sequence of vital race information and commentary from ashore at the unique Cowes Radio commentary position on the Royal Yacht Squadron Race Officer's platform and afloat in the specially equipped, fully instrumented, Raymarine sponsored Cowes Radio commentary boat. All the information is brought to you by a duo of Britain's top sailing journalists: fronted by on-water commentator for every year of Cowes Radio, sailing writer and broadcaster Dick Johnson, with Simon Vigar, television news reporter the shore-side anchor for the Cowes Week commentary team. The Horizon Yacht Charters sponsored Race Courses and weather, who's over the line and who's not, Cowes Commentary is where the action is!

1 pm Liquid Lunch. If racing allows, an occasional break in the commentary with a careful balance of commentary, chat and occasional music. A chance to feature interviews with people who are 'in town' for the Regatta as well as keep up with the action out on the water. Hosted by Chris Carnegy who skilfully interweaves the action from the water with comment from onshore.

2 pm Cowes Commentary. Live coverage continues as the winners and losers come home, and our team brings you the race results , sponsored by eDigital Research, as they happen, together with the only live coverage of the finishes. Everything that deserves Cowes Radio's unique coverage.

A repeat of the day's commentary for the benefit of those who weren't able to compete, who were too embroiled in their own racing to find out what was going on around them, or as an update for those returning home after a day at work.
