A few of our listener comments...

Please extend our sincere thanks to Dick Johnson, and the team, ( Simon, Chris, Roger and others) for all the pleasure they've given us. We've come to spectate at Cowes Regatta every year for the past twenty and don't intend to stop anytime soon. Cowes Radio makes us feel right in the middle of the action and the whole team manage to explain the quirky world of sailing in terms we can understand whilst making it fun. From Roger teeing things up in the morning through to Regatta report giving us a glimpse behind the scenes in the evening, you really do run a first class radio station and it wouldn't be the same without you. We will miss Dick Johnson. Yours Rob and Jane Cook Harlington, Beds.
Thank you for the wonderful coverage this week and what a close; Simon Vigar reading ‘Sea Fever’ then rolling straight into Don Henley’s ‘Boys of Summer’! You really got me on that one. I had to learn and recite this poem in grade school and that song was on my driving music CD when I lived in California. In the meantime please send me information on advertising if you’re not already fully booked. I think your programming connects especially well with its listeners and a rifle shot on my customers.

Hoping it's not too late to contact Cowes Radio especially as I wish to congratulate you. Last Sunday while on the island I picked up Cowes Radio and gathered that the Fastnet Race was soon to begin. It sounded like something worth seeing even though I know nothing of sailing nor yachts. I am no sailing enthusiast but found your programme both informative and interesting. It made for a great afternoon so thanks for your broadcasting skills. It is so unusual these days to hear what I call professional broadcasters that can inform and entertain without banal chat or modern pop music."

Thanks for another year of fantastic commentary. You can't be beaten. See you next year. Pandie Bronsdon

Listening to your excellent commentary from Cowes Green, and wishing the sun would come out.  Go on - let Dick tell his kayak joke, we're dying to hear it! Suzie

Great commentary from you guys...almost feels like the 'real-thing' ..... Great memories indeed! Regards and Good Sailing from..... Clive Tattersall, Erie, Pennsylvania

Can I say what a great pleasure it is to listen to you both with your relaxed, extremely informative and enjoyable commentary whilst sat 150 miles away in sunny Leicester! Keep up the great work. Cheers Mike Clarke

Cowes week racing would be nothing without your commentary, here on the sea front at Lee-on-the-Solent, marvellous, as Uncle Uffa would say! And by the way, a big group of us sang through the whole of that record for my 60'th in Cowes, exhausting! Many thanks again, Guy Hudspith.

Just to say hi, we are having a great morning here in Grenada, listening to our favourite show....in my mind i can see the kite run down the green ...fantastic Last in Cowes this time last year after completing our circumnavigation. Jason Lawrence
